Are you a dog owner? You may want to watch what they eat. This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. It may seem easy to let your dog clean your kitchen messes, but some foods may have a negative impact on your pet’s health. Most people know that chocolate is toxic to dogs; but, did you know a lot of human “healthy” foods are poisonous to man’s best friend? Foods like avocado, cherries, grapes, coconut, and citric fruit can negatively impact your pet’s health. You should not give your dog table food if they have health problems such as: diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, or other major health problems. Talk to your veterinarian or call the animal poison control line if you think your dog may have eaten something toxic. This Stay Young Medical Minute is brought to you by Executive Medicine of Texas, a leader in preventative and proactive medicine. Learn why patients from around the globe trust Executive Medicine of Texas to their health. Visit EMTexas.com that’s EMTexas.com.
