Yesterday (Sunday) South Africa commemorated the 67th anniversary of the Freedom Charter. The Charter was adopted in an open field at the Congress of the People in Kliptown, Soweto, on 26 June 1955. The Charter is a blueprint of the political, economic and social structure that the people of South Africa demanded.As with many of the country’s historically significant days, the people on the ground feel that nothing has changed. Free education as an example is still unreachable for many young people. To help us reflect on the state of the country and whether today’s climate dos reflect what the Freedom Charter promised to do,
