Hello and Welcome to Season 7, Episode 4 of The Thirteen Hour Life Coach Podcast.
This is the "Kids Edition" and today I am speaking to Julia Harris (is a neuo-divergent ADHD, dyspraxia.+) mum of two who is working to change the world from "neuro (typical) normative to "Neurodivergence Positive - in anyway she can.
Professionally, Julia is the designer, educator and trainer at Complex Strengths; coach-in-training, neurodiversity mentor, and Drawing and Talking therapy facilitator, at Co-illuminated, and also artist and children's entertainer at JuliaArts!
With over 30 years experience of neurodivergent strengths and challenges, both professionally and personally (over 50 years as herself!), much of Julia’s work specialises in the communication of un-met needs, that some people call ‘challenging behaviours’.
Combining her specialisms to tackle the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals, and especially neurodivergent Young People, Julia designed and launched a range of Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence Positive resources for children, families, and schools, which you can find here on The Neurodiverse Universe.
All of Julia's work is about breaking down and releasing outdated and unhelpful limitations (often created by neuro(typical)normative culture) and replacing them with genuine personal resources that create a state of natural resilience.
Julia explains that The Neurodiverse Universe online store was born out of the active dream to help support neurodivergent individuals, children, and families to thrive and experience better 'life outcomes' than frequently occur in our society currently.
To support those outcomes through development of the UK as a neurodiversity informed, Neurodivergence Positive Culture that will benefit everyone.
Together, Complex Strengths & The Neurodiverse Universe function as a social enterprise, with a commitment to donate 50% of profits from courses and resources to achieving that aim.
Any donations made through either website are also used to provide support & resources where needed by individuals, families, and the community.
