With a stretched off week, there's a ton of great news out in both the Marvel and DC world, and we cover it all in Episode 31! DC info is up first as we've gotten the premiere dates for the CW season premieres and although Flash comes back first, Supergirl news takes center stage with their casting of both Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and a role for former Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter as well. Legends Of Tomorrow keeps announcing Justice Society heroes that are going to appear in season 2, and we have info on Tobias Harris role as the big bad in Arrow's fifth season, as well as some new sidekicks that are joining Ollie. We have Gotham's premiere date as well and we cover the arrival of Jamie Chung as well as the very odd possible reasons and explanations behind time jumping a single character with the recasting of Poison Ivy with a much older actor. There's some great tidbits in the DC movie universe with Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman coming, but the heat is on Zach Snyder's Justice League movie and we discuss how much attention he's paying to critics. News of Fox moving quickly on Deadpool 2 news shifts us over to Marvel as we discuss when they start shooting, along with where Ant-Man & The Wasp is going, creatively and why Jon Bernthal is so excited about how little you've actually seen of the Punisher so far. Spider-Man: Homecoming is casting some huge names and creating huge rumors, with the addition of Bokeem Woodbine and Michael Mando. With the expected success of the web-slinger, we get into the Sony-Marvel partnership, the additional Spidey-related movies that are edging closer to being greenlit and how Fox would benefit from a similar alliance to give access to the X-Men, Deadpool and more. Finally, we get into the topic of whitewashing in the Marvel universe and how that stands up in regards to the incredible job they do in so many areas to create diverse characters. The anticipation of what's coming is killing us! Join the excitement with your Trusty Sidekicks, on the Laugh Factory Podcast Network!
