The View Up Here is honoured to be part of the 2nd annual #MMMLiveonthe5 internet radio marathon, bringing you the 9th and 10th hours of live coverage. Remember, remember the 5th of November. The day adopted by Anonymous for global protest. What has changed since this episode one year ago in the fight for freedom, transparency and the rule of law? Some good things but many more not so good. Barrett Brown is a free man albeit with as many restrictions as the Bureau of Prisons can impose, legally or not. The fight for Aaron's Law goes on with not nearly enough progress. Nothing has been done regarding the assassination of Serena Shim. Governments continue to oppress and imprison activists at their whim. Lauri Love awaits his hearing to avoid deportation to the US. Julian Assange remains a prisoner in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Stanley Cohen is a force of nature that no government can sufficiently contain. These days, his opinion pieces and historical reviews of many things that infect the world can be found in leading outlets from Newsweek to Counterpunch to TruthDig to Al Jazeera and more. Always keen on the bigger picture, Stanley joins us to discuss the many "bogeymen" out there creating havoc to the detriment of the world at large.
