2013, the good old days. When Christy Clark's lies were fresh, the international fossil fuel market wasn't facing permanent devaluation, the abandonment of environmental regulations wasn't proven by results and a bright future from an LNG shell game was all the rage. Clark and the BC Liberals have promised that LNG exports will - eliminate a $100 Billion plus debteliminate BC Hydro's ever-growing debteliminate BC Ferry's debteliminate the provincial sales tax, tolls and leviesfund health care and public educationcreate a "Prosperity Fund" worth 100's of billions of dollars Let's say things have changed. The global energy shift is happening faster than ever anticipated. Markets for BC's LNG have all but disappeared. Japan is well underway restoring their nuclear generated electricity system. China has discovered massive amounts of natural gas under their feet. The solar market is ballooning globally as costs plummet. Petronas, the Malaysian saviour of LNG is in court for every shady thing under the sun while they can't meet dividend payments. The global LNG market already has an over-supply. First Nations of BC are very squarely against having their traditional lands and fishing grounds destroyed. Yet the band plays on. The deck chairs are running out of possible reshuffles. Corporate media continues to deny the reality that LNG will never come anywhere near the hype. Grant G (@Realmediavoices) has been bringing The Straight Goods on this fantasy string of lies for a long time. There are reams of information revealing this at his blogsite http://powellriverpersuader.blogspot.ca Grant G joins us to break the spell of propaganda spun by Christy and her purchased "media". It's not too late, British Columbia. Not yet.
