In this week's Thanksigiving Edition of the podcast we are talking with a good friend and special guest Journalist, Speaker, Advocate & Minister Jakkar Aimery. We are calling this week's edition of the show "Iron Sharpens Iron," because we are both men of like passion and in this poignant discussion we are covering a miriad of topics including Politics, Race, Relgion & Voting. Jakkar is an emerging journalist, author, speaker, and activist; who uses his unique skills to inform communities on issues that are pertinent to social engagement, the expansion of political insight, and the proclamation of thought at the intersection of spirit and scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in journalism and sociology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. During his time at MSU, Jakkar worked as an undergraduate researcher where he explored and identified existing barriers to student success and establish policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate the existing opportunity gaps between white and minoritized student populations. This is definitely an interview you don't want to miss! PLUS, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we have an awesome Thought of the Week especially for you entitled, "I'm Thankful." This is a powerful word that focuses on the posture and demeanor that every child of God should have. We should be thanfkul to God for all of HIs manifold blesings that He has afforded us this year. Regardless of what we have experienced we all have a reasons to be thankful! We have a great show in store for you, and we hope you take some time to check it out! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michael-s-nimmons/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michael-s-nimmons/support
