Our grief journey is unique to us; we can often feel misunderstood or may not understand why others grieve differently. Our guest, Dr. Chuck Coker, unpacks how understanding our temperaments and mindsets can benefit us and others' grief process. For more than 30 years Chuck has focused his career on people’s development. Chuck's landmark study released in 2012 capped four years of research in the UK about human data management. He founded LifeThrive to help with the human element in business & organizations. He teaches emotional intelligence worldwide & has authored several books.

In this episode:

  • How a tragedy can launch a purpose
  • Increasing the trust factor in relationships
  • Better understand yourself & others
  • How personalities (DISC) & Mindsets affect grief
  • Practical tips for parents who lost a spouse to help the kids

Quote of the Day: “Psychologists have discovered that anything past 1.5-2 years is based more on what you think about it than what actually happened. In other words ,you don't remember things exactly the way they happened. If the conversation is focused on 'how did this person bless me, make my life better, and what are the things I can contribute to society that was given to me through this person', now you're focused on the right direction. Because the more you communicate that, the more it becomes reality."
