The violent protests that broke out in a Memphis neighborhood after police shot and killed a 20-year-old black man Wednesday show that officers need to be trained to act with restraint, say community leaders. Authorities say 25 people, mostly police officers, were hurt after residents of the Frayser community in north Memphis started throwing rocks and bricks following the killing of Brandon Webber. Police responded by firing tear gas.
