We launch to covering the talent on DC REBIRTH. finally, we get to February's DCs, starting with SINESTRO 20-continuing the fight with the Paling, and Sinestro pays a price for victory. BATGIRL 48 and the questions we have include where'd all that dough come from, why is a Computer Sciences student opening an energy company, among others. Mysteries are revealed! POISON IVY 2 kills Dr. Cruz, Pam has to cover her activities, we receive a lecture on Jainism, and twacked out mutant veggie babies are born. Over in DETECTIVE 49 bones are still going missing, Joan of Arc is recreated, and some pretty good detective work is happening. DKIII #3 is pretty damned neat, with Bruce recriminating and taking Carrier to go wake up Clark, even as Lara takes her place among the Kandorians. HARLEY TEAM UP presents us with Harley and various power rings, and Hal Jordan, queue the weird circumstances please. SUPERMAN 49 gives us the single strangest application of Kryptonite ever. Nah. BATMAN 49 We coulda done without the drug trip of alternate Batmans, but the dialog Alfred uses is touching, although ultimately failing in it's purpose. LEGEND OF WONDER WOMAN 2 continues the greatest slothlike buildup of vague-assed threats, and although it's pretty good, it could go faster. STARFIRE 9 new alien pet is too adorable for words. Who cares about the story. SWAMP THING 2 has Shade giving out zombie disposal tips, and that's fun. Like usual, Phantom Stranger shows up for no further reason than to be cryptic. WONDER WOMAN 49 was readable, but there's no plausible reason Diana does not know who Hecate is. there jsut isn't. Ending things up is ASTRO CITY 32-another Steeljack story, villain gone mostly straight, old partners showing up being framed for murder, since he's a private eye, and that's what ya do.
