We welcome the true Diva herself Amber Rogers on International Woman’s Day and discuss how she founded D.I.V.A.S, Divorcing Independent Very Able Survivors and all the benefits of that organization. D.I.V.A.S had to close it’s doors after 7 years and not receiving funding partially because Amber’s many bipolar episodes.
Amber tells us about her teenage years when she got raped at 14. Her best friend went missing and was murdered by Amber’s rapist. She talks about how this became a very high profile case in Flowermound, Texas and that it was the first homicide in that city.

Amber talks about having to testify and face her rapist and best friends murderer in a capital murder trial at age 19. Amber suffered from severe PTSD. She tells us about meeting her husband and how she seemingly had a perfect life for a while, but then falling into a severe depression and being diagnosed bipolar by the age of 30. She describes her severe bipolar and manic episodes that are always caused and triggered by a guy. Amber informs us that she ended up in 14 mental institutions in 7 years and how horrific those places are.
