#68: I am from Austria – a visit from Gabrielle’s brother Horst Kendler

The Too Posh girls welcome Gabrielle’s brother Horst Kendler all the way from Austria. Even though he speaks English very well, the language barrier brings some hilarious and awkward moments that has everyone laughing, especially towards the end of the show.
They discuss their lower middle class upbringing. Then Horst shares how he was scarred for life when he went on a ski trip with his Dad and caught him having sex with another woman in the same room he was staying in at age 11. He was cheating on their mother right in front of his son’s eyes and it scarred Horst for life.
Horst feels that he was the accident of the family by the way he was treated his whole life and thinks his parents only had him to collect the $ 1000 from the Austrian government for having a baby.
Horst cannot believe that his Dad passed away having disowned him and his sister Gabrielle, when instead he had expected him to make good for his awful, alcoholic behavior and the way he treated them their whole lives. Instead he gave their whole inheritance to heir half sister who wants no contact with them.
We discuss Horsti’s inability to treat women right and that he expected his ex girlfriend to be ok to sleep on an air mattress in a car on a vacation where he promised 5 star amenities. We try to teach him that girls do not like this kind of treatment. He thinks girls should be tougher. This leads into Marcella sharing her disastrous Valentines Day date to a haunted house. We tell Men to plan their dating and courting better and to step it up.
Horsti and his ex girlfriend are now in a platonic friendship and they travel together and have many same hobbies including their love for the Dallas Cowboys and all American sports. The Too Posh girls try to make Horsti admit that he occasionally has sex with his ex but he insists that never happens and that he only enjoys and needs sex when he is in a perfect love relationship.
He talks about how funny it was when he was in Dallas for the Superbowl and the whole city came to a standstill because of a little bit of ice. Coming from Austria he finds that laughable. He wishes he could be a better brother and uncle but how difficult it is because they live so far apart.
