Ian Smith began working in the residential construction industry in 1985. Since then he has worked in both the new construction and renovation fields. He also worked as a cabinet maker before training to be a home inspector.

Ian is a Registered Home Inspector in accordance with the Ontario Association of Home Inspector’s Act. He graduated with honors from the George Brown College “Home Inspection Certificate” program. Ian joined Baker Street Home Inspection Services Inc. in 2009.

Mr. Smith’s certificates include:

  • Home Inspection Certificate (George Brown College)
  • Registered Home Inspector – Ontario Association of Home Inspectors Member – Ontario Building Officials Association
  • Ministry of Housing Re: Part Nine – Building Envelope
  • Ministry of Housing Re: Part Nine – Health and Safety
  • Ministry of Housing Re: Part Nine – Structural
  • Ministry of Housing Re: Part Nine – HVAC and Fire Protection
