There are more ways to get your content on google than ever before, these specifically apply to contractors:

  • Local Business Knowledge Panel Card (GBP)
  • Plain text organic
  • PAA (FAQ’s)
  • Video rich results
  • Featured snippet (google displays a snippet of content from one of the top-ranking organic results in the SERP)
  • Review snippets
  • Logo in knowledge panel

Content marketing is content that should stimulate interest from buyers and position YOU as an expert in your field. This includes:

  1. Blogs
  2. Email marketing
  3. Downloadables (eBooks, How To’s etc)
  4. Video (long and short)
  5. Website content
  6. Social media posts
  7. Podcasts

Create a realistic content calendar with ideas and a clear outline of how much content and how frequently you plan to publish.
