Carolyne Jasinski, a member of the Professional Associatioon of Lifestyle and Travel Writers, in her own words tells Travel Writers Radio the story of a 10-day curfew imposed by the Captain of cruise ship, Sea Princess, after it left Australia bound for Dubai as part of a 104 day world cruise. Passengers had to observe a blackoutat night and remain indoors while crew up on deck searched the horizon for possible pirate attack. She discusses the defence mechanisms on board including fire hoses, detergent foam and a sonic device that could knock someone off their feet. Carolyne was a guest speaker on board the cruise.
