In 1949 Arthur’s Miller's classic play Death of A Salesman premiered on Broadway and remains to this day perhaps the greatest play ever. The play depicts the life and career-ending saga of the main character, Willie Lohman.
Now without going into a cliff notes review of the play, Willie’s demise is largely due to his refusal to acknowledge the reality of his situation. Willie spends his days lamenting this and that for his dismal predicament.
Well, here we are in 2018 and Ken Miller’s podcast makes the same dire prediction. Here in 2018 audio is the same Death of Salesman and ironically for exactly the same reason poor ole Willie’s lackluster career comes to an unheralded demise.
You see, today’s sales and influence practitioners, refuse to see the handwriting on the wall. What got you here, will not get you there. As Willie never learned the landscape has changed and business today is not in yesterday’s handbook.
