During the season of lent (Feb 21-March 28) we will examine our need for redemption by reviewing the Psalms and how the Psalms lead us to Jesus Christ. The Psalms are our songbook they are meant to express human emotion in both lament and praise - they are the heart of the word of God and the melody that transforms words into movement. Each week we will hear the Psalm sung to a familiar tune and dive deep into the human condition and corresponding redemption that comes through Jesus Christ. As we journey through lent, we will shed our human absorption and embrace the redemption of Jesus Christ. Notice the titles below- the first 3 grapple with the human condition while the final three turn the corner toward praise of God and what we receive when we trade our sorrows for His joy!
