For many of us, negative storytelling is our dominant mental activity. And it can literally rule our lives, driving us into anxiety, worry, and stress. Come along as we explore what storytelling is, how to decrease its negative impact, and even how to make it work for you in positive ways!

Here are this episode’s Action Points:

Partner Up — Find someone who you can team up with to “call each other out” when you see each other storytelling. But take care! It’s easy for this to turn into arguments, so make sure you do it lovingly!

Rubber Band Marker — Choose a “marker” to alert yourself to when you’re storytelling. For instance, a rubber band on your wrist that you snap lightly when you catch yourself. This can “snap” your mind into launching into your touchstone.

Positive Storytelling — Learn to use storytelling positively with tools such as mana gardening.
