How do you use sticky notes as a designer? What value does a sticky note have to your design process?

Mike introduces the topic of post-it notes and talks about the ways that he uses it to quickly jot down and organize his thoughts and ideas. He talks about the simplicity of the product and how it’s a product that he doesn’t look at as being something precious in how they’re used. He’s not afraid to jot notes and ideas onto them and then throw them away.

Tim talks about how he typically uses sticky notes to mark sections of a book with notes. He also uses sticky notes to quickly write and sketch ideas like a scrap pad and then throws them away when he’s done. Mike talks about how he organizes his day early in the morning on post it notes to help keep him on track throughout the day. He focuses on 3 critical tasks that he needs to complete that day.
