Producer and host Bob Fisher was honored to welcome back special guest Jenny Stiles as co-host for the evening. She was the perfect guest to honor Mother’s Day, having received the “Gift of Life” — a kidney from her mother eighteen years ago.
Tom “Wags” Wagner called in from Washington, D.C; Nicole Romans Hall called in from Roseville, California; and veteran newspaper reporter Norm Clarke called in from Las Vegas.
Tom — who retired after 25 years in law enforcement for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, was in Washington, D.C. on the “Team Vegas Police Unity Tour”, honoring the memory of our fallen law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The Nevada team rode almost 400 miles on their bikes and joined with thousands of officers from all around the country. Tom gave a loving tribute to slain LVMPD officer Henry Prendes.
Nicole honored her late husband was one of five policemen who were all murdered at the same shootout a number of years ago in Oakland, California.
Norm spoke about the impact of the work and the sacrifice of our first responders here in Las Vegas and all across the country. And Norm gave a preview of the upcoming events scheduled here to honor the 100th birthday of Las Vegas entertainer Dean Martin.
NOTE: it is estimated that many of the calls police and fire rescue receive involve a person who is experiencing a low blood sugar incident!
