Will and Maggie discuss 'Young Frankenstein' (1974), Mel Brooks's hat tip to classic Hollywood horror films, like James Whale's 1931 film 'Frankenstein.' While Brooks's comedy is loosely based on and rewrites many of the plot points in Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, it mostly plays with the tropes you often see in old monster movies. We're not sure if dads like old monster movies, but we've decided that dads can only bring themselves to approach a story like 'Frankenstein' through the humor of Mel Brooks.
