In episode two of Very Vedic, Matt and Anna explore the concept of deletion, and the uncomfortability that comes with letting go of old ideas, emotions and beliefs.

Anna is meditating, so why does she feel anxious?

Matt uses Vedic wisdom to explain that what she is experiencing is a resistance to the feeling of discomfort that comes with death — or deletion — of that which is longer relevant to her. And that it’s actually an opportunity to heal undigested and unprocessed emotions.

He explains that meditation is the vehicle that drives out that which is no longer relevant to her personal evolution, and the evolution of all things.

This episode is a lesson in acceptance. We learn that when we’re practicing acceptance, we’re actually accessing a higher state of consciousness.

Matt shares with Anna that when she makes something wrong — a feeling, a situation or an experience — she’s actually amplifying the very feeling she’s trying to resist feeling. In other words: we suffer in exact proportion to the amount we resist. He gives her practical advice on what to try instead.
