Actual-play RPG podcasts are a dime-a-dozen these days. However, few have the heart, soul and humor as Friends at the Table, hosted by Austin Walker. Currently in their second season, Friends at the Table is a rich roleplaying podcast that focuses on creative storytelling and fantastic characters. If you’re a fan of RPGs at all, you should listen to at least the first episode of Season 2, where the group begins a brand new MechNoir campaign.

I had the privilege of chatting with Austin about his history with tabletop RPGs, what it’s like to run an actual-play podcast, the philosophies behind some of his world-building decisions, and much more. You can find Austin Walker on Twitter, or read his video game coverage at Giant Bomb.
