On this week's episode we interviewed GRAMMY-winning rapper, songwriter, and producer Swoope. The Akron, Ohio native talked about being exposed to different genres of music at a young age and how his pastor encouraged him to create music of his own. He gave us a little background info on growing up with Lebron James and how stepping out on faith led him to working with Lecrae. Swoope definitely dropped some gems on us as well! We discussed how music is just a "conversation frozen in time" and who his favorite artists are at the moment. He breaks down his writing process and how he continues to stay motivated even through an "inspirational block". We also reviewed his 2018 album SONSHINE, our favorite songs from that project, and future plans for new music. This was a fun interview and a great guest to kick off the 2019 new year.
