Nick Johnson and Caleb Haldane are two wise-cracking guys that talk about various nerd culture topics from Dungeons and Dragons to Rick and Morty. Not only do they satisfy your geeky cravings but they also talk to fellow podcasters (like Daniel) about their respective interests like Ghost Tours or Singing and Song Writing.
These two will have you in stitches while talking about nostalgic, current events, and, of course, playing their movie game with Nick Johnson’s signature Movie Game intro that changes almost every game they play, but still remains similar.

These guys have mentioned many times their affinity for Saturday morning cartoons -when back in the day you’d wake up Saturday morning stoked for cartoons and watch for hours. I feel the same way about Tuesday mornings when I check my phone to see the latest Red Six to Golden Corral episode in my podcast player.

Red Six on Voice of the Artist
Conversation is an underrated art form. Many of my friends have the ability to craft arguments and conversations in a smooth, concise manner that is absolutely necessary for hosting a wonderful podcast and Red Six does this flawlessly. The ebb and flow from jokes to thought provoking conversation to jokes is seamless and well structured. We wanted to have these fine gentlemen on to pick their brain about podcasting, the art of conversation, and why they do what they do.
Sleepless In OKC
The Bromance is REAL. Caleb and Nick have known each other since 2011, they have been in a constant state of almost meeting each other since 1996, barely missing each other for a decade and a half.
After meeting for the first time, they started going to conventions with one another and spending a lot of time together. They realized that this culture is really what they are into.
One day Caleb asked Nick to meet him at Flips, an italian restaurant near Guitar Center and Caleb popped the question:
“Will you record dick jokes with me?” – Caleb.
From that moment on, they started out as the Game Cocks, a table top games review podcast with Nick, Caleb, and John Hammock. After a few episode they tallied up the time spent review these games and it was in the range of 60 hours a week. They devised a new plan. They made a new podcast with the theme of their eventual podcast (Red Six) but this was called Down Right Fierce (DRF). DRF apparently is a tournament fighting term that they fans of tournament fighting began reaching out to them and asking why they named themselves DRF. Quickly they came to the idea of naming themselves Red Six to Golden Corral.

These guys have put out a powerhouse of content for their listeners from their weekly podcast episodes, original podcast comics, exclusive t-shirts, and super creative youtube videos all centered around them and the Red Six brand.
