It could be the hallyu wave or the promise of a better future but more and more Malaysians are falling into the traps of unscrupulous syndicate to be illegal labourers in foreign land. The latest destination? According to an expose by Utusan Malaysia is South Korea. These unsuspecting victims work in 3D--dangerous, difficult and dirty--jobs in the manufacturing, services, construction and plantation workers. Some suffer life-altering injuries, losing limbs, for instance, and forced to pay expensive medical bills as they are not protected under any insurance.
