What are some Responsibilities of Every Christian

Being a Christian is never easy to my knowledge Jesus never said it would be easy if we follow him The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Every Christian person has many responsibilities, without question the greatest reason that we live for God is our unwavering belief in the resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through His resurrection from the grave that we have hope and the promise of life eternal with him. In 1 Corinthians chapter 15, the apostle Paul explains that, because of these promises of a future resurrection and of living eternally in the kingdom, believers have not only the motivation but also eternal responsibilities for our lives here on earth.

    Control Our Thoughts

The human mind is so powerful that it attracts to it what it focuses on. If we focus on our blessings, more blessings will come. But, if we focus on the things that seem to be wrong in our lives, guess what we will attract? That’s right, more of the same! Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Since whatever we focus on becomes magnified and attracted to us, we must take great caring in controlling our thoughts! Proverbs 23:7 says, for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

    Believe

Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23).

As He did His part on the cross by dying for us and giving us life abundantly, we are required do our part. What is our part? To only believe! To believe what? That He is God, and that He is faithful to His Word. And, to believe that He is who He says He is and He will do what He says He will do.

We are to be believers, not achievers. That's why we should not to be frustrated all the time, running around trying to do things only God can do. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (I Peter 5:7).

    Be a Blessing

Being a Christian is about serving and being a blessing to others. When we serve and bless others, we are serving and blessing Jesus! In Matthew 25:40, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The Bible teaches us that our responsibility as believers is to work uncompromisingly as the Lord has gifted us and leads us in this life. We must fully understand that until the Lord returns there are souls to reach and ministries of every sort to be performed. We are responsible for our money, time, energy, talents, gifts, bodies, minds, and spirits, and we should invest in nothing that does not in some way contribute to the work of the Lord. James tells us, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead” (James 2:26).

I believe that Nothing gives a person more joy than being a blessing to someone else. When we are a blessing we become blessed ourselves! Jesus said in Luke 6:38, " Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

(Ephesians 4:28). Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Here’s the real deal our responsibility lies in working for the Lord, whether it is in “looking after orphans or widows in distress” (James 1:27), giving to the hungry, the naked, visiting those in prison (see Matthew 25:35-36), serving in our workplace (see Colossians 3:22), or doing whatever we do (Colossians 3:23). And our motivation is that we have God’s own promise that our work “is not in vain” in the Lord “since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:24).
