City of God (2002), crime/drama, directed by Fernando Meirelles. Two boys growing up in a violent neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro take different paths: one becomes a photographer, the other a drug dealer. We discuss the film (heavy spoilers), the horrors that can happen in the streets of Rio (it's very important to understand what happens in the world, folks), how anyone who says they don't read subtitles cannot reasonably call themselves a film-buff (THERE'S SO MANY AMAZING MOVIES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD! GROW UP AND GAIN SOME CULTURE YOU FOOL!), how Justin feels that we should find more respectful words for "Hookers and Johns" ("Escorts and Patrons" sound much better! C'mon, they're people too!) Take care, ya'all!
