It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the Law is bad and the Gospel is good. For many of us, there's this thought that being told we're free means being able to do whatever we want to do. The Apostle Paul understood that there can be a dark side to freedom. Freedom isn't simply freedom from, it's freedom to... To serve means, when you see a need, meet it and when something needs to be done, do it. v.14 The entire law is summed up in one command: "love your neighbor as yourself." How do you do this? You serve. If I only serve myself, eventually I will be all by myself. How far do I have to take this? John 13:2-5,12-15 Jesus gathered the betrayers, the deniers, and the cowards and He served.
