Joyce Szuflita discusses how she makes money from educational presentations. She talks about why presentations are vital to her business, why she sells tickets to her talks, and the strategies she uses to sell private consultations.

Joyce was a Scenic Artist for 25 years for Broadway, feature films, the Metropolitan Opera, and major dance companies. She has worked on productions like the Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, and films with Spike Lee.

In 2008, she founded NYC School Help where she gives private consultations to families who want help navigating the Brooklyn and New York City school system. She spends her time interviewing educators, touring schools, and being obsessed with all aspects of public and private schooling. She can be seen in The NY Times, The New Yorker, the WSJ, and The Atlantic.
