Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Stephen Miller is the force behind the record number of migrant refugee children separated from their parents and held in for-profit detention centers at the border.
Then, on the rest of the menu, economic growth has stalled and Trump’s trade war is to blame; big corn and big oil both blasted the Trump biofuel plan at a public hearing hosted by the EPA; and, outrage over the deaths of thirty-six horses at Santa Anita Park since December is not enough to keep Kentucky’s Churchill Downs and Mitch McConnell from blocking a bipartisan “race day anti-doping bill.”
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Australian police have frozen over a half dozen multi-million dollar properties in a money laundering scheme by Chinese mobsters; and, fire has destroyed the five hundred year old Shuri Castle, a World Heritage site on Japan’s southern island of Okinawa, with its main hall reduced to a skeleton.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
“Everyone in this good city enjoys the full right to pursue his own inclinations in all reasonable and, unreasonable ways.”
