Manage episode 245579900 series 2136569
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Kevin McCarthy refused to accept the whistle-blower’s offer of written questions and testimony under oath from the Republicans, after he spent over five minutes whining on national television that Adam Schiff won’t let the GOP question the whistle-blower.
Then, on the rest of the menu, the head of the violent, neo-fascist Proud Boys has filed papers for the GOP nomination to challenge incumbent Democratic Representative Donna Shalala, for the Florida US House seat; North Carolina Republicans keep canceling votes when all the Democrats are present; and, jobs keep disappearing, despite Trump's promise of a Rust Belt revival.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where thousands of Romanians protested the attacks and killings of forest workers by gangs of illegal loggers the government has turned a blind eye to; and, if Boris and Nigel form a unity coalition, Trump promised some huge trade deals when the UK leaves the EU, but they’ll have to do him some favors, though.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
"I was never a spy. I was with the OSS organization. We had a number of women, but we were all office help."
