Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, bots and trolls ignited false claims of voter fraud in Kentucky that portends something very serious for 2020.
Then, on the rest of the menu, the Wisconsin GOP is still focused on stealing power from the duly elected Democratic governor; an anti-abortion group misused funds yanked from Planned Parenthood so badly the state of Texas took its money back; and, Trump’s trade war farmer bailout has paid more per acre to several wealthy food conglomerates in five southern states, while hurting medium to small farmers across the Midwest and Great Plains the most.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where South Korea agreed to pay Trump $1 billion dollars a year to house US troops as a bulwark against North Korean aggression, but now Trump wants $5 billion dollars a year; and, pirates attacked an Italian-flagged offshore supply vessel in the southern Gulf of Mexico, injuring two crew members.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
"To those of us who believe that all of life is sacred every crumb of bread and sip of wine is a Eucharist, a remembrance, a call to awareness of holiness right where we are. I want all of the holiness of the Eucharist to spill out beyond church walls, out of the hands of priests and into the regular streets and sidewalks, into the hands of regular, grubby people like you and me, onto our tables, in our kitchens and dining rooms and backyards.”
