Self described as “the rogue lawyer”, Phillip’s candidly critiques political leadership and his perspective on where Canada has gone wrong and what the future has in store for the country. Before Phillip’s success as a lawyer and entrepreneur, his journey started as a Combat Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

In this episode Phillip recounts his initial drive to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces, reflecting on what ignited his passion for protecting his country, and what lessons and skills learned in the military can be transferred to business, entrepreneurship and leadership. Phillip elaborates on his specialized practice and the influence of his Master’s in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, and how the differences between cultures across the world negotiate and do business.

His military experience laid the foundation for his transition into the legal profession, shaping his approach to law and justice. His legal and leadership style is unique in that he is not afraid to challenge the status quo and fight for justice against popular opinion. Phillip shares his advice for young Canadians considering a career in the military, law, leadership and entrepreneurship.
