All millennials are lazy, entitled, selfish brats. Right? WRONG! This week, What’s Good 206 is showcasing local millennials who are paving the way for political change in Washington State. In the midst of a presidential election with levels of drama that rival reality television, our local millennials remind us that change begins in our own backyard. WG206 producer, Jen Germain, talked with three young political activists who prove that millennials aren’t just the future leaders of our country, but they’re already helping to lead it. Austin Wright-Pettibone is a Senior at the University of Washington and is the current student member for the Board of Regents, UW’s governing body. Along with serving on student leadership at UW, Austin interned at the White House and worked on digital engagement for Mayor Ed Murray’s campaign. In this episode of Game Changers, we hear from Austin about the experiences that drive him, the achievements that continue to inspire him, and the perspectives that define him.
