Mikkeller has always been know to play around and experiment with water treatment, hops levels, yeast strains, just about anything you can do with a beer. They released two beers featuring experimental hops just to see how people respond to them. Experimental Hop Project: HBC 522 is session IPA coming in at just 3.8%. It's a full of fruity, cereal flavors and shows lots of promise. Experimental Hop Project: HBC 472 is a standard IPA with notes of pine and herbs. Both are exciting entries into the beer world.
