I Choose Otherwise Today's quote is from Steven Covey, and it is, "Until a person can say deeply and honestly, 'I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday,' that person cannot say, 'I choose otherwise.'"Taking personal responsibility for every choice and decision that we make seems to allude many people. It is so easy to blame others or point to circumstances in life instead of accepting the results of the choices that we make. For the most part, our lives turn out exactly as we choose them to be. There may be a few exceptions to that on the short term, but over the course of your life, you are who you are and where you are in life because of the choices that you have made. Making bad choices may limit our good choices in the future, but until we accept full responsibility for all choices, then we will not be able to choose otherwise. Once again our lives are based on the laws of planting and harvesting. Galatians 6:7 - Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
