Black-Eyed Suzie

Cutting their teeth as a full family band out of northern Manitoba, mom-daughter duo, black-eyed SUZIE, delivers a bitter-sweet taste of dark folk rock prairie sound with inspirational songs of hardship and transformation that feed the soul.

“Dark folk” (but also sometimes alt-rock and kinda metal but not obviously so…) group Black-Eyed Suzie is on the show!

We talked about the project’s long history, its roots as a family band, breaking into the Winnipeg music scene as a group from out of town, and a whole lot more.

This episode brought to you by Rob Crooks and Saskatoon Folk Rap Records, as well as Devine Shirt Company!
