Michael Marjama is a former major league catcher. Before beginning his professional career, he played college baseball for the Long Beach State Dirtbags.He was drafted by The Chicago White Sox in 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He fulfilled his lifelong dream when made his major league debut with the Seattle Mariners on September 1, 2017.He was the Mariners opening day catcher this season, but what many fans did not know was he once struggled with an eating disorder that threatened his ability to play the sport he loved so much. As a teen, While in high school, he developed an eating disorder that eventually led to inpatient treatment and recovery, he has been open about his personal experience with an eating disorder to inspire others, especially men and boys, to seek the help and support they deserve. This past month he stepped away from the game he loved and will be taking a position with the National Eating Disorders Association to continue to help those who are struggling,He joins Mark and AJ to talk about it all.
