Here's a new subway service announcement: June is Pride Month, and no bigotry, hatred or prejudice will be tolerated in stations.

That's not an official MTA notice, but you'll see signs in subway stations bearing this message all month. It's a guerrilla-style project from several ad creatives in honor of Pride Month.

Thomas Shim, Global Creative Director at Young and Rubicam, talks about what compelled him to design the poster along with his collaborators Ezequiel Consoli and Jack Welles. Shim says, with no mention of Pride by President Trump, he wanted to give people in the LGBTQ community a reason to smile.

So far they've put up around 300 posters. The plan is to post another 400 or so, with a few new versions making their debut in the middle of June.
