Pivoting your business until you create something that makes your heart sing is essential to your well-being. Being able to sit back with satisfaction and think, “I made this,” is one of the best feelings in the world. Today’s guest, Taylor Lou Dixon, shares her journey from a young social media manager to an inspiring women’s business coach.
Freshly graduated from college and supported by a family of entrepreneurs, Taylor looked at the career world with wide eyes. She was completely unsure what kind of path she wanted to pursue, so she opened her own social media management company. Taylor grew her business quickly by visiting local brick and mortar businesses to pitch her services.
While it felt great to have such a successful business at a young age, Taylor knew it wasn’t the right path for her. She ended up transitioning her career focus to something where she felt much more fulfilled: coaching women. She felt success with this business from the start, because she was much more aligned with her beliefs.
We live in an age where it’s so much easier to start your own business, with the existence of the internet. It’s a low-risk option that doesn’t have to involve complicated business plans and capital investment. But, Taylor says that starting your own business accelerates your personal growth.
We talk about how receiving coaching can help you recognize your own limiting beliefs. And finally, Taylor explains what masculine and feminine energy is and how we can nurture both aspects of our personalities.
Are you worried about starting your own business because you’re not sure what you’re passionate about? How do you define success? What does creating feel like to you?
In This Episode:
- How you can grow your business by approaching businesses in person
- Why it’s okay to change your career focus to something more fulfilling
- How to redefine what success means to you
- Why there is a lower risk to start your own business now than there ever was in the past
- How starting your own business accelerates your personal growth
- What if feels like to create something out of nothing
- How coaching can help you recognize the limiting beliefs you have of yourself
- What masculine and feminine energy is
