A daily history podcast covering World War One. Using the public archives of the Globe and Traveller newspaper, we’re going to view World War One through the eyes and ears of those who were still at home. The Globe and Traveller was a London-based evening paper that published continuously throughout the war, reporting on events across the world. Every episode will be a few minutes long and provide a snapshot of the headlines of the day. Not every story will be include, as we aim for breadth of coverage and not depth. The goal is not total knowledge of the war, but a better knowledge of what living through the war period was like.
