The Captain Thomas Espy Post was a meeting place for Civil War union soldiers that sat untouched for more than 50-years. This time capsule and American treasure tucked away on the top floor of the Carnegie Library and Music Hall in Carnegie, Pennsylvania has been painstakingly restored and now re-opened. Tonia Caruso shows us the before and the after and learns about the historic significance of this amazing room.
What happens to all those hats when there's a hat trick at Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games? Mike Behme of Boy Scout Troop 830 in Clinton, PA found out they were being thrown in the trash, so he created Hat Tricks 4 Humanity as his Eagle Scout community service project. The hats now go to local and international charities. Sidney Crosby congratulated Mike and gave WQED a surprise interview for this story.
