An older project that many new to 3D printing or even some who have been around in the industry for awhile may not have heard about is a Kickstarter project from Zheng3. They did this project around creating Barbie armor and other items using 3D printing called Faire Play, sort of like a Renaissance Faire. Great ways to get funding for Kickstarter through small rewards for backers as well as show off your design chops. Another great entry point for many into 3D printing, whether you want your daughter to have more outfits for Barbie or if you are interested in medieval accessory design, it’s a perfect way to get into 3D design modeling.
