Martin Mazinga is the National Programmes Coordinator of the Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM), Caritas Australia’s local partner. Martin oversees Caritas Australia’s initiatives under the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP), and the Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES) supported by the Australian Government. Martin Mazinga will visit schools and supporters across Sydney to talk about Caritas’ work and share one of the stories highlighted this Project Compassion from Malawi, one of the world’s least developed countries. Money raised goes towards Caritas Australia’s humanitarian and long-term development programs in more than 40 countries across Asia, Africa, the Pacific, and Latin America, and with First Australian communities. The theme for this year’s Project Compassion, “Learning more, creating change”, celebrates the power of learning, and the many ways in which Caritas Australia is working with local partners around the world to provide vital learning and renewed hope to those most marginalised.
