This episode is all about how better, ethical use of patient data can improve public health services. We hear from Professor Carsten Obel, Professor of Public Health at Århus University, in Denmark. He’s someone with a vision for rethinking health services and health provision and currently spearheading research into how health data can fuel our future health system, how it is a foundation for improving the patient experience, and how mindfulness around mental health is an important factor in shaping that experience.
Carsten is also part of a group investigating the development of the COVID-19 infection and its impact on the everyday lives of Danes. Supporting the dialogue between families and doctors and, for example, and helping to identify early signs of infection, spread risks in the home, and possible late effects of the disease.
