This episode is coming to you from the 2017 Go Vita Annual Conference, which I am fortunate to be MCing.

Just before Jo Whitton & Fouad Kassab from Quirky Cooking hit the stage, I share with you just what I’m observing at the conference – and it’s the power of people connecting. If you are looking to improve your health, it may pay to observe other areas of your life outside of your diet.

As I write this I even remember that if it wasn’t for Ann Cattelan, Go Vita’s Marketing Manager, attending the 2016 Wellness Summit, I would not be MCing this event. A podcast wouldn’t have done it, nor an email. It was a real-life experience that started our relationship, and the power of this cannot be understated.

When people connect, not only do ideas brew and friendships begin or develop, but physiological processes take place within the body that do NOT occur during a phone call, Skype conversation, text message or on Messenger.

There is something intangible that science will never really be able to fully explain that socialising and truly connecting with humanity provides us.

I share the real-life example of this in the podcast. The town of Roseto are what Malcolm Gladwell calls an Outlier, which he described in detail in his book, Outliers.
