Today, we’re going to be talking about a very important and relevant topic -- cybersecurity. My guests are Ori Eisen, founder and CEO of Trusona, a cybersecurity startup, and Frank Abagnale.

If you don’t know who Frank Abagnale is, you may be familiar with the 2002 film inspired by his life story, “Catch Me if You Can,” starring Academy Award winner, Leonardo Dicaprio who played Abagnale. Much like the movie depicted, the real-life Frank Abagnale was a confidence trickster, check forger, and impostor between the ages of 15 and 21. In fact, he became one of the most famous impostors ever,[1] claiming to have assumed no fewer than eight identities, including an airline pilot, a physician, a U.S. Bureau of Prisons agent, and a lawyer. He escaped from police custody twice (once from a taxiing airliner and once from a U.S. federal penitentiary), before he was 21 years old.[2] After serving less than five years in prison he began to work for the federal government. He is currently a consultant and lecturer for the FBI and runs Abagnale & Associates, a financial fraud consultancy company. Abagnale is also a consultant for Trusona.

Trusona is a cybersecurity startup on a mission to eliminate passwords, not only because people hate them, but because, according to Trusona, passwords are the weakest link in cybersecurity. It is the lack of proper identification which enables the most horrendous cybercrimes to take place.

This was a fascinating and eye-opening interview for a variety of reasons as I’m sure you’ll agree.
