Dr. Penny Smith is the founder of Alegria Technologies and inventor of the Keys to Coping product and Keys to Courage. She is an author, higher education executive administrator and campus date rape survivor. Dr. Smith’s various experiences have led her to create a solution for responding to campus sexual assaults that is both victim centered and a risk mitigation tool for higher education administrators.
Alegria Technologies, LLC is a Limited Liability Company chartered in Northeast Ohio. Alegria means “Joy” in Spanish and the mission of Alegria Technologies is to utilize technology to restore the joy of victims of violence. Alegria Technologies is dedicated to providing technology solutions to higher education, post-secondary education, rape and domestic violence crisis organizations, the military and professional sports.
