Episode 2489 - BEST OF: On this Friday's show, Vinnie Tortorich welcomes Colin O'Brady and they discuss the 12-hour walk, Colin's books, limiting beliefs, finding a flow state, and more. (2:00) Vinnie asks Colin to give some backstory on how he got into athletics and what led him to try all the things he does. (3:00) Colin's dad always reminded him to be active outside, because "Nature is Free." They chat about coming from a modest upbringing then going to a large university. (5:00) Colin suffered an accident that affected his life and outlook. (8:15) He shares how his mom inspired him and what his goal became. They discuss mindset and lifestyle and what they each decided was important to them. (16:55) Hint: It wasn't money, luxury items, or keeping up with the "Joneses". Vinnie was inspired to take on the 12-hour walk after he heard Colin on the Adam Carolla podcasts. (30:30) Colin explains his trek across Antarctica and how the idea of the 12-Hour Walk got started.
